Fundraising can be deeply rewarding—but it can also be emotionally demanding. In this session, participants will explore the pressures that come with asking for support, navigating rejection, meeting organizational expectations, and carrying the weight of a mission they care deeply about.
Through reflection, practical tools, and guided conversation, presenter Jason Owen will equip attendees with:
- Greater awareness of the unique emotional demands of fundraising and the ways they can affect our energy, confidence, and clarity.
- Practical language for recognizing pressure, rejection, fatigue, and discouragement without allowing those experiences to define their work or their worth.
- A framework for moving forward when the work feels heavy—helping rebuild clarity, courage, and resilience.
- A renewed perspective on how to stay grounded in the mission while also protecting and caring for personal capacity.
- A guided reflection handout to use during the session and revisit afterward as a practical tool for navigating the emotional challenges of fundraising.
