Sharpen Your Skills at Fundamentals of Fundraising 'Boot Camp' July 30-31!

A two-day, intensive training designed to strengthen your fundraising skills and strategies.

The course is composed of 7 modules that have been designed by experienced fundraising professionals to meet the real-world needs and challenges nonprofit organizations face every day. This 16-hour program includes case studies and projects for groups and individuals to make the learning experience both substantive and enjoyable. This intensive program will provide an overview of skills, techniques, and program components for individuals with 0 to 5 years of fundraising experience. It is also a great refresher for those with more experience.

The cost to participants is $125 for AFP members and $175 for future members. Light refreshments and lunch will be provided each day.

Breakfast and Gratitude with James Gavrilos

We were grateful for such a strong turnout at AFP Treasure Coast's recent breakfast seminar, The Art of the Thank You, presented by James Gavrilos, CFRE. Attendees explored how thoughtful, authentic gratitude can deepen donor relationships and inspire long-term support—along with practical ways to make every thank-you more meaningful and memorable. A special thank you to James Gavrilos for the inspiring presentation and HANDS of St. Lucie County for generously hosting us and providing a welcoming space for connection and learning.

Planned Giving expert Ann Decker delivered an engaging session on integrating planned giving into both large and small fundraising programs. Attendees walked away with usable strategies to incorporate planned giving into their development efforts.

Donor Relations the Disney Way is presented by Wayne Olson, author, planned giving mentor, and inspirational speaker. This session delves into how Disney accomplishes so much, often on a limited budget. We will learn ways we can use Disney-like methods to create memorable, "wow" moments, emulate their standards of excellence and customer care and think creatively to craft better solutions for our donors. This session looks at the successes of Walt Disney and how we can apply his philosophy, his creativity and his approach to our mission and running our organizations.
