The TREASURE COAST CENTER FOR ECONOMIC AND EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (TCCEED) unites businesses, St. Lucie Public Schools, and nonprofits to strengthen the region’s workforce pipeline. In its first year, TCCEED placed 51 students in internships with 25 businesses - resulting in 12 permanent hires - and expanded programs likeClassrooms2Careers and Counselor Tours. Through intentional collaboration, TCCEED delivers real opportunities, lasting partnerships, and measurable community impact across the Treasure Coast.

MRS. JESSICA URBAY AND HER 3RD GRADE STUDENTS AT FELIX A. WILLIAMS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
are young changemakers making a real difference for Hibiscus Children’s Center. They host a student-led market, planning and selling themed items to support a nonprofit—Hibiscus was chosen the last few years. The project fosters empathy, teamwork, and resourcefulness. It inspires them to explore their passions and involve their families. It’s a powerful reminder that making a difference only requires heart and compassion.

TAYLOR-GRACE HALL’s contributions include: founder of TaylorMade Photography, offering free photoshoots to dancers to express their personalities and build confidence. She is Dance Captain and Non-profit Outreach Director of Turn Up the Heat, and through service projects with non-profits, has raised money, secured donations and mentored peers, to expand dance access. She has been the committee chair of a teacher and staff appreciation event, a Junior League Teen member, a Junior Marshall and a Martin Youth Leadership Alumni and developed a proposal for the 4Cs, which included a clothing campaign to raise awareness to other students about the need for clothing for children in our community.

At just 17 years old, HAILEY WILKERSON made a bold decision to rewrite her story. As the first female participant to enroll in Project LIFT’s Fort Pierce program, she didn’t just break barriers—she built new ones, quite literally.
Hailey quickly distinguished herself in Project LIFT’s vocational training, excelling in carpentry, HVAC, and automotive classes. But it was carpentry that truly captured her heart. Her passion and skill culminated in a remarkable achievement: designing and constructing a 12-foot wooden boat for Project LIFT’s Annual Wacky Raft Race Event. Her craftsmanship and leadership helped steer her team to a spirited first-place finish, with Hailey cheering them on every step of the way.

Doug Brimlow
Portraits of people from around DOUG BRIMLOW was involved with Caring Children Clothing Children (the 4Cs) since it was founded in 1997. He along with his wife Pat, were part of the original board of directors. He helped lead the organization, as a volunteer, for 10 years, prior to hiring a paid director. Mr. Brimlow and his volunteer recruits, built out from the ground up, three 4Cs stores in Stuart. Five years ago, the 4Cs honored Doug, by developing a life time achievement award in his name. Sadly, Doug passed away in 2024 leaving a wonderful legacy gift to the 4Cs. In his honor, his wife invited friends and family to donate to the 4Cs. Enough money was contributed and honor Doug’s last wish, to pay off the balance of the 4Cs mortgage on the current store.

JIM MONDELLO is a shining example of philanthropy in action. With a deep passion for children’s mental health, he serves Tykes & Teens as a Board Member, trusted leader and tireless ambassador. Jim gives generously of himself -his time, expertise, and resources - always with humility and compassion. His legacy is one of quiet generosity that strengthens the community and lights the way for others to follow.

ROBERT "BOB" WEISSMAN is nominated for the 2025 AFP Legacy Award for his extraordinary philanthropic leadership. Since 1996, Bob and his late wife Carol have supported Cleveland Clinic Martin Health through major gifts, including $2 million to establish the Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center and $1 million to launch its third-floor renovation. Bob’s civic impact spans over 20 Martin County organizations and our community is undoubtedly better because of Bob Weissman.
